The Carrier WeatherMaker® 50FE-M12A3A5-0A0A0 is a 10-ton commercial packaged air conditioner designed to provide reliable, efficient cooling for commercial buildings and light commercial applications. Combining two-stage cooling with direct-drive EcoBlue™ Fan Technology, this all-in-one rooftop system helps deliver efficient, flexible cooling while simplifying installation and preserving valuable indoor space.
The integrated air conditioning system provides 10-ton nominal cooling capacity with 118,000 Btu/h of cooling capacity to help maintain comfortable indoor temperatures during warm-weather operation. This model uses two-stage cooling with tandem scroll compressors and Puron Advance™ R-454B refrigerant. A factory-installed UL 60335-2-40 certified A2L leak detection and dissipation system is standard to support operation with the lower-global-warming-potential refrigerant.
The cooling system provides 10-ton nominal cooling capacity with an EER of 11.2 and an IEER of 15.2. This helps provide efficient and dependable cooling performance across varying commercial cooling loads, including part-load conditions.
With an IEER of 15.2 and direct-drive EcoBlue™ Fan Technology, this system is designed to provide efficient indoor fan operation and improved part-load performance. The Vane Axial fan design uses an electronically commutated motor and eliminates belts, blower bearings, and shafts found in conventional belt-drive indoor fan systems. Compared with legacy belt-drive systems, the EcoBlue™ design has 75% fewer moving parts and can use up to 40% less energy.
The packaged rooftop configuration combines the compressors, condenser, evaporator coil, indoor fan system, controls, and air distribution components into a single outdoor unit, helping simplify equipment placement and preserve valuable indoor space. The WeatherMaker® 50FE 7.5- to 15-ton platform is designed for replacement applications using the same footprint as previous Carrier rooftop models. The unit can be field converted between vertical and horizontal airflow configurations and includes provisions for thru-the-bottom power entry, single-point electrical and controls connections, and a full perimeter base rail with built-in rigging adapters and fork truck slots.
The 50FE provides two-stage cooling operation with a unit control board featuring intuitive indoor fan-speed adjustment and simplified safety-circuit troubleshooting. The 24-volt control circuit is protected with a resettable circuit breaker. Standard electromechanical controls can be used with field-installed economizers and dampers, while optional SystemVu™ Integrated Communicating Controls provide advanced monitoring, diagnostics, control, and building-network integration for compatible applications.

The full fan and motor assembly slides out for easier service, while the corrosion-resistant composite condensate pan helps provide long-term durability.
The Carrier WeatherMaker® 50FE includes a 5-year limited warranty on electric heaters, a 5-year parts-only limited warranty on the compressor, a 3-year limited warranty on the SystemVu™ controller when equipped, and a 1-year parts-only limited warranty on all other parts.
