- Totally worth the investment!We have owned the. Daiken Tri-zone mini split for approximately two years now. This is the perfect answer to the crazy weather fluctuations of Pennsylvania! This unit keeps our whole home comfortably cool in summer, comfortably warm in winter, and is completely adaptable to the fluctuating temperatures in spring and fall! I love that I can use heat one day and A/C the next as needed! It is perfect for older homes that have no interior ductwork. I love that we can set different temperatures in various areas in our home. We keep our bedrooms cooler than the rest of the house. It runs quietly and very efficiently. We went from using total electric heat in winter and 5 A/C units in the summer to this one unit. It has saved on our electricity usage and we no longer have to install/remove window units every year. I highly recommend this product and HVACDirect! The units were delivered when expected and very well packaged! We are very pleased with this purchase!

- Not ReliablePurchased this unit and installed with no issues. One cassette would not function. Turned out the PCB had 86v on one unit and 240v on the others. Required an $800 replacement board at my expense. Equipment then worked fine. Three weeks later the cassettes stopped working. I changed the PCB again to no avail. Still no heat and no trouble codes. Overall this unit has proven to be unreliable and has given me less than 48 hours of use. Daiken support - non existent. Techs that looked at unit are not trained so they are of little assistance. Very disappointed with this unit.

- Your #1 source for Mini Splits!I am extremely satisfied with the Daikin brand. I reside in Michigan and a cold weather heat pump with a drain pan heater is a must. I spoke with multiple customer service agents during the ordering process. Everything from verifying my calculations for evaporator size to necessary accessories for the install were expertly handled.
I would not consider this a simple DIY installation. However if you have a good manifold gauge set and a vacuum pump it is quite doable.
We particularly like the 3D air flow of the indoor units. The temperature control is very accurate. I recommend the Cielo plus WiFi control as a great addition.
Overall value is quite good. HVAC Direct has excellent discounts available! Shipping is a breeze with liftgate service available for home delivery.
