TYPE II Hearth Pads - Are the most commonly sold hearth pads for use with wood stoves and pellet stoves. Most wood and pellet stoves require an insulated surface below the stove with an R-Value above 1. Traditional Edge Type II R-Value = 1.4. Sapphire Edge Type II R-Value = 2.0.
