- Approved Fan-Support Outlet Box – When mounted to a ceiling outlet box, the fan must be installed using an approved CSA-listed box for Canada or UL-listed box for the U.S. marked “FOR FAN SUPPORT” and capable of supporting the fan's weight.
- Secure Mounting Requirements – The outlet box must be securely installed and capable of supporting the fan. The mounting screws provided with the outlet box must be used for installation.
- Clear Blade Clearance – The installation site must allow the fan blades to rotate freely without obstructions.
- Electrical Code Compliance – Electrical connections must comply with applicable local ordinances and electrical codes, including the CEC, NEC, and ANSI/NFPA 70.
- Power-Off Installation – Power must be turned off at the main electrical service box before beginning installation.
Warranty Information
CANARM Ltd. provides a 1-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. During the warranty period, CANARM Ltd. may, at its option, repair or replace any unit or part returned freight prepaid and found to be defective.
The warranty applies only to the original purchaser-user. It does not cover labor or transportation costs associated with removing or reinstalling the unit. Warranty coverage is void in cases of alteration, accident, abuse, neglect, or operation contrary to the provided instructions. Repaired or replaced components are covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period.

- HVAC Good, CanArm BadI put up two fans in my shop. One was ok, the other was missing a pin that kept the hub from spinning. We also noticed that the fan wasn't balanced. We took it down, replaced the down rod with a new one, and had the same issue. CanArm sent us three more fans with down rods and they all operated the same way. There's two inches in wobble in the down rod when you rotate the hub. It's not very hard to see once you're looking for it. If we were to put this up, the hub would be destroyed in a year from that amount of wobble in the fan. HVAC Direct has been great to work with, but CanArm is clearly inept at quality control.
