The Fantech SHR 1400 handles fresh air for buildings with heavy ventilation needs. It pulls out stale, humid, or odor-filled air and replaces it with an equal amount of outdoor air, which makes it a good match for classrooms, offices, retail shops, clinics, hair salons, animal shelters, bars and restaurants, and larger homes.

Three aluminum heat recovery cores sit between the two airstreams and transfer heat from one to the other, so the air coming in is already tempered before it reaches your HVAC system. Four blowers move 1,428 CFM at 0.4 in. w.g. on high, 999 CFM on medium, and 640 CFM on low. Power is 120V single-phase with a 10.6 amp draw.

The cabinet is 22 gauge galvanized steel finished in baked powder coat paint, with fiberglass insulation throughout and added foam on the outdoor air side to keep condensation in check. Hinged panels on both sides open to the cores, filters, and drain pan, while the blowers pull out on sliding motor plates. If the outdoor temperature drops below 23°F, the unit runs a defrost sequence that stops the supply blower and switches the exhaust blower to high to melt frost off the cores.

• Two-Sided Access: Service the cores, filters, drain pan, and blowers from the front or back, with only 15" of clearance needed to slide out a core.
• Flexible Duct Layout: Side ports and a control panel that relocates from front to back make it easier to fit your ductwork.
• Suspended or Platform Install: Hang it from threaded rod (not included) or set it on a platform.

Warranty

Fantech warrants the SHR 1400 for 3 years on motors and electrical components and for a limited lifetime on the heat recovery cores.
