Fantech SHR 450 Commercial Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV)
The Fantech SHR 450 heat recovery ventilator brings a steady supply of fresh outdoor air into commercial buildings while exhausting the same amount of stale air outside. Balanced ventilation keeps indoor air from getting stuffy or humid without throwing off building pressure, which makes it a great match for indoor pools, offices, ballrooms, and meeting spaces.
At the center of the unit is an aluminum cross-flow heat recovery core. As air passes through, heat from the exhaust side transfers to the incoming air, so fresh air enters closer to room temperature. Because it recovers heat without moving moisture back into the building, it's a strong choice for spaces that need humidity removed, like pools and busy meeting rooms. The SHR 450 delivers up to 464 CFM at 0.4 in. w.g. on standard 120V power.
Built for year-round use, the SHR 450 has an automatic defrost cycle that starts when outdoor temps drop to 23°F. The supply fan shuts down while the exhaust side clears the core, then normal operation resumes. Hinged access panels on both sides make the core, filters, and drain pan easy to reach for service.

Each unit exhausts stale indoor air and replaces it with outdoor air, while an aluminum heat exchanger transfers heat between the two airstreams to take the edge off incoming air.
