This Fire Magic Outdoor Rated Refrigerator is an outdoor rated refrigerator. Outdoor Rated Refrigerators are designed and have to pass stress tests to be able to be used outdoors in temperatures below 40 degrees. They are generally front vented as to not vent heated air into your island cavity. Outdoor temperature, direct sunlight, and other outdoor elements are less likely to affect the performance of outdoor rated refrigerators.
Other standard "under the counter" refrigerators do not have to pass the stress tests as outdoor refrigerators. They are generally indoor refrigerators with stainless steel shells the require a vented island cavity or they run the risk of overheating. They definitely get the job done and can last for years but are subject to issues caused in hotter climates, direct sunlight, and if exposed to weather.
