Each High Performance 500 Series HVLS Fan package includes an extension tube, mounting kit, guy wire kit, and rotary switch for a complete fan installation setup.
Safety Features
- Safety Cables Included – Install and secure the main and motor safety cables before operating the fan.
- Guy Wire Support – Install and secure the guy wire kit (when required or included) before operating the fan.
- Minimum Installation Clearance – Install the fan with the minimum floor, ceiling, and side clearances specified for the fan size in the installation instructions.
- Secure Structural Mounting – Mount only to a structurally sound support capable of supporting the fan and its mounting hardware. Consult a structural engineer if needed.
- Qualified Electrical Installation – Installation and wiring must be completed by qualified personnel in accordance with applicable electrical codes.
- Safe Installation & Service – Disconnect power and follow lockout/tagout procedures before installation, inspection, or maintenance.
- Fire Sprinkler Compatibility – In sprinklered buildings, center the fan between four sprinklers, maintain at least 3 feet of vertical clearance, and use a fire relay to shut down the fan when the sprinkler system activates.
- Safe Operation – Do not operate the fan if it is damaged, oscillating, vibrating excessively, or has bent airfoils. Keep people and objects clear of rotating blades, and do not allow children to operate the fan.
