Read our privacy policyThe iON Switch iN-006-020-10PA-B is a solid-state digital level control designed for automatic sump and sewage pump operation. With no moving parts or mechanical contact points, it provides automatic pump control while reducing the mechanical wear associated with conventional float switches.
This model features a 6-inch operating range and 20-foot cord for flexible installation. Its standard piggyback connection allows a compatible pump to plug directly into the switch, while its inverter-rated design supports use with compatible battery backup systems.
The iON Switch automatically controls a compatible pump based on water level. Its solid-state sensing technology detects changes in the basin level and activates or deactivates the pump without conventional mechanical float components.
The 6-inch switch range represents the distance between the automatic On and Off levels. Proper positioning of the switch helps provide reliable pump cycling and should follow the manufacturer's installation requirements.
The switch contains no moving parts or mechanical contact points, helping eliminate mechanical components that can wear through repeated cycling. Its multipoint sealing mechanism is designed to provide additional protection for the sensing components in sump and sewage environments.
The standard piggyback connection provides straightforward installation with compatible pumps. The switch connects to the appropriate electrical outlet, and the pump plugs directly into the switch.
The electrical outlet, switch plug, and pump must have matching voltage ratings. The electrical outlet must remain outside the pump basin, and the plug should not be cut from the unit.
The iON Switch is inverter rated for use with compatible battery backup systems. Before installation, verify compatibility between the pump, switch, inverter, battery system, and electrical connections.
The 20-foot cord provides additional flexibility for different basin and installation layouts. The switch can be installed using its standard configuration or an optional pipe-mounted bracket where applicable.
When pipe mounting is used, position the switch at the required level and secure it according to the manufacturer's installation instructions. The switch should remain above the pump suction inlet, and the activation level should remain below the top of the basin.
Before installation, verify that the connected pump and electrical supply have matching voltage ratings and are compatible with the iON Switch. Position the switch correctly in relation to the pump inlet and basin height to ensure proper operation.
Follow the manufacturer's installation instructions and applicable local electrical and plumbing codes. Do not cut the plug from the unit.
The iON Switch includes a 3-year warranty. For proper installation and long-term performance, verify pump compatibility, electrical requirements, switch positioning, backup system compatibility, and applicable local codes before installation. Refer to the manufacturer's operation manual for complete installation, operation, maintenance, and safety requirements.
