Smart Pump Control and Monitoring for Sump & Sewage Systems

The iON Genesis is a smart sensing pump controller and alarm designed to control and monitor one or two pumps in residential sump and sewage applications. Its solid-state digital sensing technology provides automatic pump control without moving parts or contact points, while supporting alternating and simultaneous pump operation.

The Genesis features a primary digital level sensor and secondary high-water sensor for redundant level control. An LCD display, LED indicators, and built-in 80 dB audible alarm provide convenient system monitoring, while the adjustable pump turn-on level can be configured from 2.5 to 72 inches in 0.5-inch increments.

Residential Sump and Sewage Applications

The Genesis is designed for residential sump and sewage systems requiring automatic level sensing, pump control, and alarm monitoring. It can control one or two compatible pumps, with alternating operation for normal pumping and simultaneous operation when both pumps are required.

Digital Level Sensing & Backup Protection

Solid-state digital sensing monitors water levels without the moving parts or contact points used by conventional mechanical float switches. The primary digital level sensor controls pump operation, while the secondary high-water sensor provides redundant level control functionality if the primary sensor fails.

Adjustable Pump Activation

The pump turn-on level can be manually adjusted from 2.5 to 72 inches in 0.5-inch increments. This provides flexibility for different basin configurations and installation requirements.

Display and Alarm Monitoring

The LCD screen displays equipment data and alarm notifications, while LED indicators provide visual status information for pumps, power, and alarms. The built-in audible alarm produces 80 dB at 10 feet, and normally closed remote alarm contacts can connect to an external property security or monitoring system.

The Genesis also includes silence and reset functions that allow users to manage alarms and test-run the pump or pumps without accessing the basin.

Plug-and-Play Pump Connections

Compatible pumps connect directly to the Genesis through its plug-and-play pump outlets. Each outlet supports up to 1/2 HP and is rated for a maximum of 15 amps, 12 FLA, and 72 LRA. The controller operates on 120 VAC, 60 Hz power.

Sensor Protection and Installation

The Genesis features a multi-point sealing mechanism and NEMA-1 UL94V-0 ABS enclosure designed to protect the controller's internal components. Sensors are available with 20-foot cord, and controller mounting dimensions are approximately 8.25 inches by 3.5 inches.

The controller requires four #10 mounting screws, which are not included. Installation should follow the manufacturer's instructions and applicable local electrical and plumbing codes.

The iON Genesis includes a 3-year warranty.
