1.5 Tons

LG's KUSXE181A heat pump condenser has an output of 1.5 tons, generally enough to heat and cool a small house in ideal climates. Please note that this condenser cannot function on its own, and it needs an indoor coil or air handler to work. While this unit is capable of cooling in outdoor temperatures as high as 118°F, it will only heat down to around 4°F. If you need heat in temperatures lower than this, a supplemental heat kit is strongly recommended in order to provide a source of straight electric heating in a compatible air handler.

LG's heat pump condensers are built with a twin rotary variable speed BLDC (Brushless Digitally Controlled) inverter compressor. This innovative technology eliminates the harsh "on-off" cycling seen on standard systems. Through this compressor, the heat pump is capable of modulating its own speed to match the real-time thermal load of your home, maintaining steady temperatures and reducing wear on mechanical components.

Warranty

This condenser includes a 5-year parts warranty and 5-year compressor warranty from the date of purchase. Register within 60 days of residential installation to upgrade to a 10-year parts and 10-year compressor warranty for the original homeowner, starting from the installation date.
