What's Included
Each MacroAir AVD370 HVLS fan package includes the fan, a 2 ft. drop tube for installation, a 50 ft. CAT5e cable for controller connectivity, a 25 ft. motor cable for connection between the fan and controller, a safety cable kit for added protection, and a digital wall controller for fan operation.
Safety Features
- Required Safety Cable: Every MacroAir AVD 370 fan must have the supplied safety cable properly installed. The fan should never be operated without the safety cable, and it must be installed for the warranty to be in effect.
- Secure Structural Mounting: The fan must be mounted to a suitable building structure capable of supporting approximately twice the stated hanging weight of the fan. The manual specifies I-beam, Glulam, or similar suitable structures and recommends consulting a structural engineer for mounting methods not covered in the manual.
- Guy Wire Stabilization: Guy wires are required when using the Universal Mount (UMH). They help stabilize the fan during earthquake conditions and outdoor installations where high-wind conditions may occur.
- Required Fan Clearance: Fan airfoils must be at least 10 feet above the floor and at least 3 feet from any area where a person could reach them. The minimum distance from a wall or similar obstruction should be at least 1.5 times the fan diameter.
- Electrical Safety Compliance: Installation, adjustment, repair, and maintenance must be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. Wiring between the control panel and fan must use MacroAir-supplied shielded cable.
- Power-Off Servicing: Remove all power to the fan before servicing or troubleshooting, install all covers before applying power, and keep all body parts clear of moving parts during operation.
Warranty Information
MacroAir provides a limited warranty for the AirVolution-D 370 against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and prescribed maintenance. The AVD370 is backed by a 10-year warranty for mechanical components (blades, hub, and frame), a 5-year warranty for standard electrical components (motor, electrical controls, and remote), and a 1-year labor warranty.
Warranty coverage applies to products installed in accordance with MacroAir's written installation instructions by a state-qualified or licensed electrical contractor and operated and maintained according to MacroAir's instructions. The product must also be purchased directly from MacroAir or a MacroAir Authorized Dealer. Additional terms, conditions, exclusions, and limitations apply.
