What's Included

Each MacroAir AVD370 HVLS fan package includes the fan, a 2 ft. drop tube for installation, a 50 ft. CAT5e cable for controller connectivity, a 25 ft. motor cable for connection between the fan and controller, a safety cable kit for added protection, and a digital wall controller for fan operation.

Safety Features

Required Safety Cable: Every MacroAir AVD 370 fan must have the supplied safety cable properly installed. The fan should never be operated without the safety cable, and it must be installed for the warranty to be in effect.
Secure Structural Mounting: The fan must be mounted to a suitable building structure capable of supporting approximately twice the stated hanging weight of the fan. The manual specifies I-beam, Glulam, or similar suitable structures and recommends consulting a structural engineer for mounting methods not covered in the manual.
Guy Wire Stabilization: Guy wires are required when using the Universal Mount (UMH). They help stabilize the fan during earthquake conditions and outdoor installations where high-wind conditions may occur.
Required Fan Clearance: Fan airfoils must be at least 10 feet above the floor and at least 3 feet from any area where a person could reach them. The minimum distance from a wall or similar obstruction should be at least 1.5 times the fan diameter.
Electrical Safety Compliance: Installation, adjustment, repair, and maintenance must be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. Wiring between the control panel and fan must use MacroAir-supplied shielded cable.
Power-Off Servicing: Remove all power to the fan before servicing or troubleshooting, install all covers before applying power, and keep all body parts clear of moving parts during operation.

FAQ's

Customer Questions

My space has a lower ceiling (10 feet). Can this fan still be installed safely?

The AVD370 is designed to perform best in spaces with ceilings around 12 feet or higher. While it can still be installed in a 10-foot ceiling, you may notice reduced airflow and slightly more noise since the clearance is lower. Our team can review your space and help you determine if it’s the right fit or suggest alternatives to get the best performance and comfort.

Can I install the fan without any help from a technician?

We always recommend having the fan installed by a licensed electrician or professional installer. This ensures the fan is mounted securely, wired correctly, and performs safely at its best. It also helps protect your warranty and gives you peace of mind.

What benefits does the AVD370 offer in terms of energy savings and comfort?

You’ll save up to 30% on energy costs, feel 8–15° cooler, get better air circulation, lower humidity, and enjoy consistent comfort year-round by keeping warm air where you need it.

What kind of warranty do I get if something goes wrong with my fan after purchase?

The fan is backed by a 10-year mechanical warranty and a 5-year electrical warranty, giving you long-term peace of mind and protection against defects. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. Thanks.

I always run the fan at full speed for long hours in my shop. Will that reduce its lifespan?

Not at all! The fan is built for continuous use, and its high-efficiency EC motor is designed to handle long-term, high-speed operation without overheating or wearing out prematurely.
