The Manitowoc Ice IDT0500W ice machine head has a water-cooled, self-contained condenser and makes full-size ice cubes. To keep the unit in working condition, self-diagnostics and preventative maintenance run 24 hours a day, and multiple components can be removed for cleaning. Additionally, the stainless steel exterior is coated with DuraTech® to prevent smudges and fingerprints, and the interior uses AlphaSan® antimicrobial to prevent bacteria formation. This unit detects ice density with soundwaves to assure a they are the correct size every time before dropping.
