The acoustical sensing probe in the Manitowoc Ice IDT0500A full cube ice machine head uses sound waves to detect ice thickness before dropping. With its touchscreen display, this unit can be programmed to turn off at certain times of the day or to produce a specific volume of ice. The removable components as well as the stainless steel, DuraTech® coated exterior are easy to clean, with AlphaSan® technology preventing bacteria buildup on the inside.
