The Modine electric unit heater has an automatic safety reset control. This control is to keep a safe environment and cuts the power supply until the temperature has fallen to acceptable operating level. This PTE400 model comes in a neutral color baked-on polyester paint, preventing corrosion and increasing durability while blending in with many different environments.
The PTE400 is easy to maintain and service as it has an easily accessible bottom panel that allows access to the wiring components. Electric unit heaters tend to be less costly than a gas or hydronic heater as well as easier to install due to not needing to connect to gas lines.
Equipped with a control compartment that has terminal blocks, fuses, and the larger transformer. Having them in a central location is for easy access and protection from high current elements and damage.
The motor included on the PTE400 is thermally protected and entirely enclosed. It also has rubber vibration guards and an aluminum fan to give this unit heater a longer lifecycle. Having nickel-chromium wire elements enclosed in powder-filled aluminum coated steel tubes allows for the Modine unit heater to be resistant to thermal shock and vibration.
