Read our privacy policyThe Multiquip QP3THX is a portable 3-inch gasoline-powered trash pump designed for high-volume dewatering, water transfer, construction drainage, water tanks, water trucks, and other demanding pumping applications. It delivers up to 396 GPM with a maximum head of 95 feet and can handle solids up to 1.5 inches in diameter, providing the flow and debris-handling capability needed for demanding jobsites.
The QP3THX combines a proven trash-pump design with a 7.9 HP Honda GX240 gasoline engine, an extended-run fuel tank, and a sound-suppressing manifold system. Its dual 3-inch discharge ports, tubular steel frame, large tool-free cleanout cover, and heavy-duty cast iron pump components provide practical performance for professional dewatering applications while keeping operating noise to approximately 71 dB(A).
A trash pump is designed to move water containing suspended solids and debris that could clog conventional clean-water pumps. The QP3THX combines a 3-inch pumping system with 1.5-inch solid-handling capability, allowing it to move muddy and debris-laden water during demanding dewatering operations.
The QP3THX provides up to 396 GPM, a maximum head of 95 feet, and maximum pressure of 41.1 PSI. Its maximum suction lift is 25 feet under suitable operating conditions, providing flexibility when positioning the pump near the water source.
The QP3THX incorporates a sound-suppressing manifold system designed to reduce engine and exhaust noise while maintaining the performance of the pump. With an operating sound level of approximately 71 dB(A), it is suited to commercial, municipal, construction, and other applications where reduced operating noise is beneficial.
The QP3THX is powered by a Honda GX240RT2QMTNH1 270 cc, air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder OHV gasoline engine rated at 7.9 HP at 3,600 RPM. The engine uses centrifugal flyweight speed control, recoil starting, and automatic low-oil shutdown to help protect the engine during operation.
The QP3THX uses an aluminum pump body with cast iron fittings, a cast iron impeller, and a cast iron volute. A silicon/silicon mechanical seal is designed for durability in demanding pumping conditions, while the large cleanout cover provides quick access to the pump chamber when debris needs to be removed.
The 4.2-gallon fuel tank provides substantially more fuel capacity than standard portable trash-pump configurations, supporting extended pumping periods between refueling. Multiquip identifies the QP3THX as capable of more than seven hours of run time, depending on operating conditions and load.
Dual 3-inch discharge ports allow discharge hoses to be connected according to the requirements of the jobsite. The pump also accepts an optional UWKB wheel kit for easier movement when the equipment needs to be repositioned around the work area.
A tubular steel frame protects the pump and engine while providing a practical structure for transportation. The current Multiquip specification lists the QP3THX at approximately 30 inches long by 23.5 inches wide by 23 inches high, with an operating weight of approximately 188 pounds.
The QP3THX is intended for water-transfer and dewatering applications involving suspended solids and debris. Its maximum suction lift is 25 feet, and its maximum solid-handling capability is 1.5 inches. The pump should be operated on stable, level ground and according to Multiquip's installation, priming, operating, and maintenance requirements.
Warranty coverage for the QP3THX is subject to Multiquip's applicable New Product Limited Warranty and the specific terms covering the pump and Honda engine. Refer to Multiquip's current warranty documentation for complete coverage periods, conditions, and exclusions.
The Multiquip QP3THX is a professional-grade gasoline-powered trash pump engineered to combine high-volume pumping performance, extended runtime, and reduced operating noise. Powered by a Honda GX240 7.9 HP gasoline engine, the QP3THX delivers up to 396 gallons per minute with a maximum head of 95 feet and maximum pressure of 41.1 PSI, making it well suited for demanding construction, agricultural, municipal, emergency-response, excavation, flood-control, irrigation, and general dewatering applications.
Designed for dirty-water applications, the QP3THX can pass solids up to 1.5 inches in diameter while providing up to 25 feet of maximum suction lift. Dual 3-inch discharge ports provide flexible hose positioning, while the semi-open ductile cast-iron impeller and cast-iron volute deliver durable abrasion-resistant performance when handling sediment, mud, and other jobsite debris.
What distinguishes the QP3THX is its integrated sound-attenuated manifold and extended-run fuel system. Multiquip publishes an operating sound level of just 71 dB(A) at 23 feet, while the large 4.2-gallon fuel tank provides approximately 7.3 hours of continuous operation. Heavy-duty construction, a durable silicon-carbide mechanical seal, large tool-free cleanout access, integrated shock mounts, and a tubular steel frame make the QP3THX a rugged, jobsite-ready pumping solution.
