The Multiquip SS233 is a lightweight 2-inch submersible pump designed for efficient water removal in flooded rooms, flat roofs, fill tanks, basins, fountains, landscape waterfalls, and other general dewatering applications. Its 0.5 HP, 115V single-phase motor delivers up to 55 GPM with a maximum total head of 32 feet, while the compact thermoplastic construction keeps the pump easy to handle and transport.

The SS233 combines a heavy-duty polymer pump casing with stainless steel fittings, an industrial polymer impeller, internal thermal overload protection, and fully oil-lubricated shaft seals. Its 2-inch NPT discharge connection and compact design make it practical for confined spaces and surface-water removal.

What Is a Submersible Pump?

A submersible pump operates while completely immersed in the water being removed. Instead of requiring an external suction line, the SS233 is positioned directly in the water and pushes water through its 2-inch discharge connection. This makes it well suited for flooded areas, basins, tanks, rooftops, and other locations where water needs to be removed from a confined area.

The SS233 is designed to pump water with fluid temperatures up to 120°F. Multiquip specifies a maximum solid intake of approximately 0.4 inch and rates the pump for 5,500 hours of intermittent duty. The pump should be operated according to Multiquip's installation, electrical, and maintenance requirements.
