Read our privacy policyThe Multiquip ST3020BCUL is a 3-inch submersible centrifugal pump designed for reliable water removal in construction, industrial, utility, municipal, and residential applications. With a maximum pumping capacity of 145 GPM and a maximum head of 66 feet, the ST3020BCUL provides dependable performance for moving water from standing areas, excavations, well casings, manholes, flooded rooftops, basements, and other locations requiring effective dewatering.
Built for demanding pumping environments, the ST3020BCUL features a durable cast ductile iron impeller, oil-bathed dual silicon carbide mechanical seals, internal thermal overload protection, stainless steel hardware, sealed and lubricated motor bearings, a heat-conducting steel and cast-iron motor housing, and a 49.2-foot molded power cable. Its 2 HP, 230V single-phase motor and compact 6.9-inch diameter housing provide a practical combination of pumping capacity and installation flexibility.
A submersible dewatering pump operates while submerged in the water being removed. The ST3020BCUL uses a centrifugal impeller to move water through its 3-inch discharge, making it suitable for a wide range of water-removal applications. Multiquip identifies this model for construction applications such as standing water, well casings, excavations, site drainage, and manholes, as well as industrial and residential applications.
The ST3020BCUL maximum pumping capacity of 145 GPM and a maximum head of 66 feet. The published performance curve illustrates the relationship between flow and total head, while actual pumping performance depends on discharge elevation, hose length, fittings, pipe configuration, and other system resistance. The maximum flow and maximum head ratings should therefore not be interpreted as occurring simultaneously.
The ST3020BCUL uses a cast ductile iron impeller designed for wear resistance and dependable pumping performance. It has the impeller as cast ductile iron and specifies a 3-inch suction and discharge size. The pump also incorporates a durable strainer base designed to provide passage for debris while limiting the entry of particles larger than approximately 0.2 inches (5 mm).
The ST3020BCUL operates at 230V, single-phase, 60 Hz. The current 2026 specification lists 52.2 amps of starting current and 10.5 amps of running current, with an operating speed of 3,450 ±30 RPM. The pump is equipped with a NEMA L6-20P plug and a 49.2-foot (15-meter) molded power cable with strain-relief protection.
Internal thermal overload protection is standard on the ST3020BCUL and helps protect the motor from overload conditions. The ST3020BCUL features Class A motor insulation and counterclockwise rotation. Multiquip also states that the ST3020BCUL is designed with internal thermal overload protection and does not require additional electrical protection for that function.
The ST3020BCUL features a narrow 6.9-inch (176 mm) overall diameter and a streamlined housing designed to fit into pipes as small as 6.9 inches in diameter. It lists an overall height of 27.9 inches (708 mm) and a dry weight of 72.8 pounds (33 kg). A plated steel and polypropylene carry handle provides a practical means of handling the pump during transportation and positioning.
The ST3020BCUL has a minimum pumping level of 3 inches (75 mm) and a minimum submergence of 19 inches (482.6 mm). For proper operation, the pump should be positioned upright on a suitable platform rather than operated on its side. The platform helps prevent the pump from burrowing into soft sand or mud during operation.
The ST3020BCUL can be used with compatible Multiquip float switches and control boxes when automatic water-level operation is required. The current documentation identifies the CB6 control box for manual, automatic, and float-switch operation and lists compatible SW1A, SW1WOPA, and SW2A float-switch configurations. The CB6 is a 230V single-phase controller and includes two SW1WOPA float switches. Float-switch and control-box installations should be configured according to Multiquip's installation requirements and applicable electrical codes.
The ST3020BCUL is designed for a broad range of dewatering and water-transfer applications. Multiquip identifies construction uses including standing water, well casings, excavations, site drainage, and manholes; industrial applications including water supply from lakes and rivers, wastewater, quarries, flooded rooftops, and irrigation; and residential applications such as flooded basements, swimming pools, decorative waterfalls, and fountains.
The Multiquip ST3020BCUL has a 1 Year Warranty from the date of purchase for the pump. Multiquip separately lists three-month warranty periods for hoses, float switches, and the CB6 control box. Warranty coverage remains subject to the manufacturer's current New Product Limited Warranty terms, conditions, exclusions, and applicable procedures.
The Multiquip ST3020BCUL is a heavy-duty 3-inch electric submersible centrifugal pump designed for demanding construction, industrial, and residential water-removal applications. Powered by a 2 HP, 230V single-phase motor, the ST3020BCUL delivers up to 145 gallons per minute with a maximum published head of 66 feet, providing powerful pumping performance for high-volume dewatering jobs.
Its 3-inch NPT male discharge port supports efficient water movement, while the compact steel housing and streamlined design allow the pump to fit into pipes as small as 6.9 inches in diameter. The ST3020BCUL is well suited for standing water, well casings, excavations, site drainage, manholes, water supply from lakes and rivers, wastewater, quarries, flooded rooftops, irrigation, flooded basements, swimming pools, decorative waterfalls, and fountains.
Built for demanding operation, the ST3020BCUL features a durable cast ductile iron impeller, an industrial oil-bathed dual silicon carbide mechanical seal system, internal thermal overload protection, and dual sealed lubricated motor bearings. A 49.2-foot molded power cord with strain relief provides extended reach, while its durable strainer base allows debris up to 0.2 inches in diameter to pass through the pump.
