Its durable aluminum construction, compact design, and reliable 115V operation make it a practical solution when dependable dewatering is needed in a portable package.

Delivering up to 18 GPM with a maximum head of 21 feet, the ST1 is designed to handle water temperatures up to 104°F while pumping down to a minimum water level of 0.25 inches. A heat-treated carbon steel shaft, hardened abrasion-resistant polyethylene impeller, permanently oil-lubricated triple lip seals, and internal thermal overload protection provide durable operation in demanding dewatering environments.

What Is a Submersible Dewatering Pump?

A submersible dewatering pump is designed to operate while submerged in water, allowing the pump to remove accumulated water directly from the area being drained. The Multiquip ST1 uses a centrifugal pumping design and compact submersible construction for applications where standing water needs to be removed from relatively shallow areas.

Understanding Flow Rate and Head

The ST1 provides a maximum pumping capacity of 18 GPM and a maximum total head of 21 feet. Actual flow varies according to the total head and resistance in the discharge system, so hose length, elevation, fittings, and other system restrictions can affect the amount of water the pump delivers.

Compact and Durable Pump Construction

The ST1 features an industrial aluminum outer casing designed to provide effective heat dissipation around the motor. Its hardened, abrasion-resistant polyethylene impeller, heat-treated carbon steel shaft, stainless steel hardware, and durable strainer base are designed for dependable operation in water-removal applications.

Low-Level Water Removal

The ST1 is designed for low-level dewatering with a minimum pumping level of just 0.25 inches. Its durable strainer base provides passage for debris up to 0.12 inches in diameter while helping protect the pumping components from larger material.

115V Electrical Operation

The ST1 operates on 115V single-phase, 60 Hz power and uses a 10-foot molded power cable with a NEMA 5-15P plug. The motor has Class F insulation, draws 2.8 running amps and 6.0 starting amps, and operates at 3,450 RPM 30 RPM. The manufacturer specifies a minimum generator capacity of 0.690 kW for starting and 0.322 kW for running.

Motor Protection and Sealing

Internal thermal overload protection helps protect the motor from damage caused by excessive loading and dry-running conditions. The pump also uses maintenance-free, dual-sealed lubricated motor bearings and a permanently oil-lubricated triple lip seal system for durability.

Operating Conditions

The ST1 is designed to pump fluids up to 104°F (40°C) and has a maximum submergence of 16.7 inches. The pump uses an oil-free mechanical seal system and is not specified for use with salt water or chemicals.
