Read our privacy policyThe Multiquip YELLSUB, also known as the Little Sub, is an ultra-lightweight 0.25 HP submersible pump designed for common water-removal applications. Its compact design and 6.2-pound operating weight make it easy to position and transport for flooded rooms, flat roofs, fill tanks, basins, fountains, waterfalls, and other small-volume water-transfer applications.
The YELLSUB provides up to 33 GPM with 15 feet of total head and uses a 115V single-phase electric motor with a 1.25-inch discharge. Its one-piece polymer pump casing, thermoplastic impeller, stainless steel fittings, internal thermal overload protection, and dual shaft seals provide a compact and corrosion-resistant pumping solution.
A submersible pump is designed to operate while immersed directly in the water being removed. The YELLSUB sits in the water and pumps it through its 1.25-inch discharge rather than requiring an external suction line, making it particularly convenient for shallow flooding, basins, tanks, fountains, and other confined areas.
The YELLSUB delivers up to 33 GPM with a 15-foot total head. Its compact pumping capacity is intended for general water-moving applications rather than high-volume construction dewatering, making it practical for household, maintenance, decorative-water, and light-duty water-removal tasks.
The one-piece polymer casing provides corrosion and heat resistance while keeping the pump exceptionally lightweight. The positive direct-drive thermoplastic impeller is secured with stainless steel fittings to provide a durable and compact pump assembly.
The YELLSUB incorporates internal thermal overload protection to help guard the 0.25 HP motor against overheating. Dual shaft seals provide additional protection for the internal motor and pumping components during submerged operation.
The YELLSUB can dewater surfaces down to approximately 1/8 inch of remaining water under suitable conditions. This makes the pump useful for removing shallow standing water from flat roofs, flooded rooms, basins, and similar surfaces where a compact pump is needed.
The YELLSUB is designed to pump liquids up to 120°F and can handle solids up to approximately 0.4 inch in diameter. Multiquip rates the pump for 4,500 hours of intermittent duty. The pump should be operated according to Multiquip's electrical, installation, and maintenance requirements.
The YELLSUB is compatible with Multiquip's SW1A mechanically activated wide-angle float switch for automatic pump operation. The SW1A uses a piggy-back plug and is designed for 120/230V single-phase applications, providing an option for automatically switching the pump on and off as water levels change.
The current Multiquip New Product Limited Warranty specifies a 90-day warranty for the Yellow Submarine electric submersible pump. Refer to Multiquip's current warranty terms for complete coverage, conditions, and exclusions.
The Multiquip YELLSUB Little Sub is a lightweight and compact electric submersible pump designed for convenient water removal around homes, shops, and other light-duty applications. Powered by a 1/4 HP, 115V single-phase electric motor, the YELLSUB delivers up to 33 gallons per minute with a maximum published total head of 15 feet, providing dependable performance for common water-removal jobs.
Its one-piece polymer pump casing resists corrosion and heat while keeping the pump lightweight and easy to transport. The YELLSUB features a 1-1/4-inch NPT male discharge with a 1-1/4-inch female adapter and thermoplastic garden hose adapter, providing versatile connection options. It is ideal for flooded rooms, flat roofs, fill tanks, basins, fountains, waterfalls, and other everyday dewatering applications.
Built for dependable operation, the YELLSUB features internal thermal overload protection, dual shaft seals, and a positive direct-drive thermoplastic impeller secured with stainless steel fittings.
