Read our privacy policyThe Multiquip PX400 is a compact 2-inch submersible trash pump designed for moving debris-laden water in construction, industrial, marine, residential, and general dewatering applications. With a maximum pumping capacity of 72 GPM and a maximum head of 34 feet, the PX400 provides dependable water removal from excavations, manholes, flooded areas, basements, rooftops, quarries, irrigation systems, and other applications where water may contain debris.
The PX400 combines a lightweight design with a corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel housing, abrasion-resistant polyamide impeller, dual silicon carbide mechanical seals, internal thermal overload protection, and a 19.6-foot molded power cable. Its 1/2 HP, 115V single-phase motor allows the pump to operate from standard electrical power for convenient jobsite dewatering.
A submersible trash pump operates while submerged in the water being removed and is designed to handle water containing larger debris than a conventional clean-water pump. The PX400 uses a centrifugal pumping design with a 2-inch discharge and 1.35-inch solid-handling capability, making it suitable for construction, drainage, and other debris-laden water applications.
The PX400 provides up to 72 GPM of pumping capacity with a maximum head of 34 feet. Its performance is suited to removing standing water from excavations, manholes, flooded rooftops, basements, swimming pools, quarries, irrigation areas, and other dewatering locations.
The PX400 features a 304 stainless steel pump housing and abrasion-resistant polyamide impeller for durability in demanding environments. The pump can handle spherical solids up to 1.35 inches (35 mm) and is suitable for salt water and selected chemical applications where compatible with the pumped liquid.
The PX400 operates with a 1/2 HP, 115V single-phase, 60 Hz motor drawing 6.2 amps during normal operation. Internal thermal overload protection helps protect the motor from excessive operating temperatures and overload conditions. For unattended operation, the pump can be used with a compatible CB3 control box and float-switch configuration.
The PX400 has a compact 10-inch diameter and 17-inch overall height, making it suitable for confined areas where larger pumps may be difficult to position. Its dry weight is approximately 16.8 pounds, while the 19.6-foot molded power cable provides additional reach during installation.
The PX400 is designed to pump liquids up to 104°F (40°C) and can dewater flat surfaces down to approximately 4 inches (101.6 mm) according to the current product specification. The pump should be positioned and operated according to Multiquip's installation and operating requirements.
The Multiquip PX400 has a 1 Year Warranty from the date of purchase. Refer to Multiquip's warranty terms for complete coverage, conditions, and exclusions.
