Read our privacy policyThe Multiquip QP2TH is a 2-inch gasoline-powered trash pump designed for high-volume water removal in construction, agricultural, industrial, municipal, and general dewatering applications. With a maximum pumping capacity of 211 GPM and a maximum head of 98 feet, the QP2TH is suited for standing water, floods, excavations, jobsite drainage, irrigation, farms, quarries, mining, swimming pools, and other applications where water may contain solids and debris.
The QP2TH combines a durable die-cast aluminum pump body with cast iron fittings, a ductile iron semi-open impeller, cast iron volute, silicon carbide/304 stainless steel mechanical seal, large cleanout cover, and heavy-duty tubular steel frame. Its 4.8 HP Honda GX160 gasoline engine provides reliable portable pumping performance, while the dual 2-inch discharge ports provide flexibility when routing discharge hoses.
A trash pump is designed to move water containing solids, debris, and suspended material that could clog conventional clean-water pumps. The QP2TH uses a semi-open impeller and large 1-inch solid-handling capability to move debris-laden water efficiently during demanding dewatering applications.
The QP2TH provides up to 211 GPM of pumping capacity, 98 feet of maximum head, and 42.4 PSI of maximum pressure. Its maximum suction lift is 25 feet, allowing the pump to draw water from suitable sources such as ponds, lakes, rivers, tanks, reservoirs, and other water supplies.
The QP2TH uses a die-cast aluminum pump body with cast iron fittings, a ductile iron semi-open impeller, and a cast iron volute. The silicon carbide/304 stainless steel mechanical seal is designed for abrasion resistance and high-temperature operation, while stainless steel hardware supports durability in demanding pumping environments.
The QP2TH is powered by a Honda GX160 163 cc, air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder OHV gasoline engine rated at 4.8 HP and operating at 3,600 RPM. The engine uses recoil starting, centrifugal governing, dual-element air filtration, splash lubrication, and an oil-alert system that shuts down the engine when oil levels become too low.
The QP2TH features dual 2-inch discharge ports that allow flexible hose orientation and connection options for different jobsite layouts. A large cleanout cover provides quick access to the pump chamber, making it easier to remove debris and restore pumping performance when necessary.
The QP2TH uses a heavy-duty 1-inch tubular steel frame that helps protect the pump and engine while providing a convenient structure for transportation. The pump has an overall size of approximately 25.3 inches long by 17.2 inches wide by 18.8 inches high and a dry weight of approximately 97 pounds.
The QP2TH is designed for suitable water-pumping applications and can handle spherical solids up to 1 inch (25.4 mm). The maximum fluid temperature is 104°F (40°C), and the maximum suction lift is 25 feet. Multiquip specifies that its trash pumps are not designed for pumping salt water or selected chemicals.
The Multiquip QP2TH pump has a 2 Year Warranty from the date of purchase. The Honda GX160 engine has a 3 Year Warranty, while applicable hoses have a 3-month warranty. Refer to Multiquip's warranty terms for complete coverage, conditions, and exclusions.
The Multiquip QP2TH is a portable gasoline-powered trash pump designed for fast water removal in construction, agricultural, municipal, emergency-response, and general dewatering applications. Powered by a reliable Honda GX160 4.8 HP gasoline engine, the QP2TH delivers up to 211 gallons per minute with a maximum published head of 98 feet and up to 42.4 PSI, providing strong pumping performance for standing water, excavations, floods, irrigation, jobsite drainage, and other demanding water-transfer jobs.
Its 2-inch suction and dual 2-inch discharge ports provide flexible hose positioning while supporting efficient water movement. The QP2TH can handle solids up to 1 inch in diameter, making it well suited for dirty water containing mud, sediment, gravel, and other jobsite debris that may clog conventional clean-water pumps.
Built for demanding field use, the QP2TH features a die-cast aluminum pump casing, ductile-iron impeller, cast-iron volute, durable silicon-carbide mechanical seal with 304 stainless steel components, and a heavy-duty tubular steel frame. The large cleanout cover provides quick access for debris removal, while the integrated check valve helps maintain prime for easier restarting between pumping cycles.
