Read our privacy policyThe Multiquip MQ62TKS is a heavy-duty 6-inch skid-mounted trash pump designed for high-volume dewatering in demanding construction, municipal, industrial, mining, agricultural, and emergency water-removal applications. With a maximum pumping capacity of 1,190 GPM, 111 feet of maximum head, and the ability to pass solids up to 3 inches in diameter, the MQ62TKS is built for moving large volumes of debris-laden water while minimizing clogging and downtime.
The MQ62TKS combines a wet-priming pump system with rugged No. 30 grey iron pump construction, ductile iron impeller and volute components, a stainless steel wear plate, and an abrasion-resistant lubricated mechanical seal system. Its skid-mounted configuration and integrated 16-gallon fuel tank provide a durable pumping platform that can be transported to demanding dewatering locations.
A trash pump is designed to move water containing suspended solids, mud, sticks, stones, and other debris that can clog conventional clean-water pumps. The MQ62TKS combines a large 6-inch pumping passage with 3-inch solid-handling capability, making it suitable for demanding dewatering where both high flow and debris handling are important.
The MQ62TKS delivers up to 1,190 GPM with a maximum head of 111 feet and maximum pressure of approximately 48 PSI. Its 25-foot maximum suction lift allows the pump to be positioned near suitable water sources while providing substantial capacity for large excavation, flood-control, and construction dewatering operations.
The MQ62TKS uses a rugged No. 30 grey iron pump housing with a ductile iron impeller and volute assembly. A stainless steel wear plate helps protect the pump-end components from abrasion, while the large cleanout cover provides access for maintenance and removal of accumulated debris.
The MQ62TKS is powered by a four-cylinder Kohler KDW1404-5010 liquid-cooled diesel engine with 1,372 cc displacement and a rated output of 35.2 HP at 2,700 RPM. The engine specification used for the pump is 24.3 HP, with 12V electric starting and a full-pressure lubrication system with a full-flow oil filter.
The wet-priming system helps the MQ62TKS establish pumping operation without requiring the manual priming process associated with many conventional centrifugal pumps. The large pump passages and 3-inch solid-handling capacity allow debris-laden water to pass through the pump while reducing the likelihood of clogging during demanding dewatering work.
The MQ62TKS is configured as a skid-mounted unit for transportation on a suitable flatbed or other equipment carrier. It measures approximately 80 inches long by 39 inches wide, with the complete pumping package listed at approximately 1,560 pounds. An integrated lifting bale provides a designated point for handling the equipment.
The skid-mounted MQ62TKS incorporates a 16-gallon fuel tank and 12V electric starting system. A shock-mounted LOFA EL240 control panel provides engine monitoring and operating controls, while the engine incorporates a water/fuel separation filtration system for diesel fuel management.
The MQ62TKS uses an abrasion-resistant, oil-lubricated mechanical seal system designed for demanding trash-pumping applications. The seal system is engineered to withstand the heat and abrasive conditions associated with moving debris-laden water over extended operating periods.
The MQ62TKS is designed for water-transfer and dewatering applications involving substantial amounts of suspended solids and debris. Its maximum suction lift is based on operation at sea level and decreases at higher elevations. The pump is not intended for pumping salt water or selected chemicals.
Warranty coverage for the MQ62TKS is subject to Multiquip's applicable New Product Limited Warranty and the specific terms covering the pump and engine. Refer to Multiquip's current warranty documentation for complete coverage periods, conditions, and exclusions.
The Multiquip MQ62TKS is a heavy-duty skid-mounted diesel trash pump engineered for demanding construction, municipal, industrial, and emergency dewatering applications. Its powerful 6-inch pump end delivers up to 1,190 gallons per minute with a maximum published head of 111 feet, providing the high-volume performance needed for large excavations, bypass pumping, flood control, and other demanding water-removal jobs.
Designed for debris-laden water, the MQ62TKS can pass solids up to 3 inches in diameter and handles water containing substantial suspended debris. Its 6-inch suction and discharge ports support rapid water movement, while the wet self-priming centrifugal design provides dependable operation when the pump casing is properly primed before use.
Power is supplied by a liquid-cooled Kohler KDW1404 diesel engine, while the heavy-duty pump assembly uses industrial grey-iron casings, a ductile-iron impeller, and a rugged mechanical seal system for demanding professional service. The entire unit is mounted on a reinforced steel skid with a 16-gallon fuel tank, creating a durable, stationary pumping package designed for extended field operation.
