Read our privacy policyThe Multiquip QP3Ti is a compact 3-inch gasoline-powered trash pump designed for demanding dewatering and water-transfer applications. It delivers up to 396 GPM with a maximum head of 95 feet and can handle solids up to 1.5 inches in diameter, making it suitable for excavations, floodwater removal, manholes, sewage bypass, foundations, barge cleaning, and general water transfer.
The QP3Ti combines Multiquip's proven QPT3 pump end with an 8.5 HP Honda iGX270 gasoline engine, electronic governor, electric starting, automatic priming protection, manual flow control, and float-switch operation. Its compact tubular-steel frame, dual 3-inch discharge ports, large cleanout cover, and included wheel kit make it practical for demanding jobsites.
A trash pump is designed to move water containing suspended solids and debris that could clog conventional clean-water pumps. The QP3Ti uses a 3-inch pumping system and 1.5-inch solid-handling capacity to move debris-laden water while providing the high flow required for demanding dewatering applications.
The QP3Ti provides up to 396 GPM, 95 feet of maximum head, and 41.1 PSI of maximum pressure. Its maximum suction lift is 25 feet at sea level under suitable operating conditions. Pump performance can decrease at higher elevations because reduced atmospheric pressure limits available suction lift and pumping performance.
The QP3Ti is designed for unattended pumping through its integrated control system and float switches. The operator can select automatic operation based on water-level changes or use the manual dial to control flow volume. When operating in automatic mode, the system provides automatic shutdown if the pump does not successfully prime within five minutes.
The QP3Ti is powered by a Honda iGX270 270 cc, air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder OHV gasoline engine. The engine uses an electronic governor, electric starting, and Honda's low-oil protection system. The current Multiquip product page rates the engine at 8.5 HP and specifies a 1.4-gallon fuel tank.
The pump uses a die-cast aluminum body with cast-iron fittings and cast-iron impeller and volute components. A carbon/silicon mechanical seal provides durability in demanding pumping conditions, while the large cleanout cover allows the pump chamber to be accessed quickly when debris needs to be removed.
Dual 3-inch discharge ports provide flexibility when connecting discharge hoses for different jobsite layouts. The pump also includes a wheel kit as standard equipment, helping operators move the approximately 200-pound unit around the work area.
The QP3Ti uses a tubular steel frame to protect the pump and engine while providing a practical structure for transportation. The current Multiquip specification lists approximately 40 inches of overall length, 27 inches of width, and 30 inches of height, with an operating weight of approximately 200 pounds.
The QP3Ti is intended for dewatering and water-transfer applications involving debris-laden water. Multiquip recommends keeping the suction line as short as practical and positioning the pump as close to the water source as possible for optimal suction performance. The pump should be placed on solid, level ground and operated according to the manufacturer's installation and maintenance requirements.
Warranty coverage for the QP3Ti is subject to Multiquip's applicable New Product Limited Warranty and the specific warranty terms covering the pump and Honda engine. Refer to Multiquip's current warranty documentation for complete coverage periods, conditions, and exclusions.
The Multiquip QP3Ti is an advanced gasoline-powered centrifugal trash pump designed for high-volume construction, municipal, industrial, and emergency dewatering applications. Delivering up to 396 gallons per minute with a maximum head of 95 feet and maximum pressure of 41.1 PSI, the QP3Ti combines proven 3-inch trash-pump performance with intelligent automatic controls for applications such as excavations, flood removal, manholes, sewage bypass, foundations, barge cleaning, and general water transfer.
Unlike a conventional manually operated trash pump, the QP3Ti can perform unattended pump-up or pump-down operation using its float-switch control system. In AUTO/STANDBY mode, the pump responds to changing water levels and can automatically shut the engine down if the pump fails to prime within five minutes or loses prime. Manual mode also gives the operator adjustable high, medium, and low flow settings for greater control over discharge volume.
The QP3Ti uses a Honda iGX270 gasoline engine with electric starting, electronic governing, and automatic choke. Its heavy-duty pump end features an aluminum die-cast housing, ductile cast-iron impeller, gray cast-iron volute and fittings, a durable mechanical seal, dual 3-inch discharge ports, and a large tool-free cleanout cover. A standard wheel kit, lifting point, control panel, and float switches help create a mobile, jobsite-ready pumping system.
