Warranty Information

Motor Warranty

All motors are covered by a one-year warranty from the date of shipment, provided by the motor manufacturer. If service is required during the warranty period, the motor must be taken to the nearest authorized motor service station. Failure to use an authorized service station may void the motor warranty. If you are unsure of an authorized service location, contact the factory for assistance. Installation, removal, re-installation costs, and any consequential damages are not covered.

Blower Housing Assembly Warranty

The blower housing assembly is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years from the date of original shipment. Defective units or parts reported within this period may be replaced at the manufacturer’s option when returned to the factory with transportation prepaid by the sender.

Exclusions

The following items are not covered by this warranty:

  • Normal wear from heat, abrasion, or chemical exposure
  • Damage from improper installation, incorrect electrical connections, or unauthorized alterations
  • Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or abnormal operating conditions
  • Lack of proper maintenance
  • Transportation costs to and from the factory for warranty repairs
Limitation of Warranty and Liability

Durable Materials & Construction

The Plastec 20 blower is purpose-built for aggressive, corrosive environments. It features all-polypropylene construction for its housing, impeller, and airflow path, meaning there are no metal parts exposed to the airstream. This gives it excellent resistance against acids, solvents, salts, and moisture. To further enhance longevity in sunlight or outdoor exposure, the polypropylene is stabilized with HALS (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers), which help prevent UV degradation over time. The blower is available in multiple configurations—single-phase or three-phase motors, with optional stands or weather hoods, which adds flexibility for installation in varied settings. Because it is direct drive (no belts or pulleys), maintenance is minimized, and reliability is improved under continuous operation in demanding conditions.

Plastec 20 is designed to withstand long-term use in environments where traditional metal blowers would corrode, require frequent maintenance, or fail prematurely.

Suitable Applications for Plastec 20 Series Forward Curve Blower

Customer Questions
Do I need to lubricate the motor?
No, the motor is permanently sealed and does not require lubrication.
What makes the Plastec 20 blower different from regular metal fans?
The Plastec 20 is made with heavy-duty polypropylene that won’t rust or corrode like metal. It’s designed to last longer in tough environments where chemicals or moisture would damage metal fans.
Can I use the blower outdoors or in damp areas?
Yes, it can be used outdoors if it’s protected with weather covers or drip shields. The polypropylene body resists moisture and sunlight, but avoid spraying water directly into the motor or electrical parts.
Is the Plastec 20 blower noisy when running?
Not at all. Its forward curve impeller and direct-drive motor keep noise levels low. Under normal use, sound levels can range from 40 dBA at 5 feet, which is fairly quiet for this type of blower. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. Thanks.
