OVERVIEW
Plastec centrifugal fans are available in 6 sizes from 5" up to 23.50" inlet. They are designed to exhaust fumes from highly corrosive environments such as laboratories, chemical plants, hospitals, universities, etc. The all-polypropylene construction and thick walls ensure maximum protection against acids and corrosion.
Plastec Series Carbon Impregnated Polypropylene (CIP) blowers are designed to work in highly corrosive air exhaust applications containing potentially explosive atmospheres.

Warranty Information
Motor WarrantyAll motors are covered by a one-year warranty from the date of shipment, provided by the motor manufacturer. If service is required during the warranty period, the motor must be taken to the nearest authorized motor service station. Failure to use an authorized service station may void the motor warranty. If you are unsure of an authorized service location, contact the factory for assistance. Installation, removal, re-installation costs, and any consequential damages are not covered.
Blower Housing Assembly WarrantyThe blower housing assembly is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years from the date of original shipment. Defective units or parts reported within this period may be replaced at the manufacturer’s option when returned to the factory with transportation prepaid by the sender.
ExclusionsThe following items are not covered by this warranty:
- Normal wear from heat, abrasion, or chemical exposure
- Damage from improper installation, incorrect electrical connections, or unauthorized alterations
- Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or abnormal operating conditions
- Lack of proper maintenance
- Transportation costs to and from the factory for warranty repairs
This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective parts as described above. The manufacturer is not responsible for installation, removal, or re-installation costs, nor for any consequential damages resulting from product failure or improper operation.

The Plastec 25 XP is engineered for the most aggressive and hazardous environments. It is constructed entirely from carbon-impregnated polypropylene, which allows it to function safely in explosion-rated applications. The blower’s thick, corrosion-resistant polypropylene body, combined with carbon impregnation, provides both chemical resilience and static dissipation suitable for volatile atmospheres. To further enhance longevity under UV exposure or outdoor conditions, the polypropylene includes HALS (Hindered-Amine Light Stabilizers), improving resistance to sunlight degradation. The explosion-proof (XP) version ensures that internal sparking or motor heat doesn’t ignite external flammable gases, making it ideal for chemical plants, laboratories, and fume exhaust systems in hazardous atmospheres.
The Plastec 25 XP is thus uniquely suited for places where both corrosion and explosion risk must be managed.
