It was easy to install and operate just as advertised. It does exactly what was advertised and why we bought it. No issues entering our 4 cooling season with it installed.

We put this in my basement and it added a lot of warmth down there. My contractor recommended purchasing from here. I had him install it but I think this would be a pretty simple diy install with the right tools and some YouTubing .

Easy install,especially the second one. Quite operation. Have not gotten any electrical bill yet but I am happy!

My first experience with MRCool was a mixed bag. Initially, everything worked great but after a month, the inside air handler started to freeze up due to a refrigerant leak in the unit itself.
I filed a warranty claim and while it took a couple of weeks to get the replacement, they did send one to replace the leaky original air handler at no cost.  
I had to buy materials to refill the system and after replacing the air handler, my leak tester found that the linesets were leaking as well. I filed another claim and another couple of weeks went by before I got the linesets replaced.
To that point, the company covered only the defective parts, but they did so without any issues. However, these issues did cause some major inconvenience to my mom as she was without consistent air conditioning during the hottest days of the summer...and I was out the money for the gauge set and other materials required to do the replacements and refill.
This is where things started getting better as I reached out to customer service about being reimbursed for the materials I had to buy to do the work, which is outside their current warranty for DIY equipment. Kimberley R explained the warranty did not cover the costs but after getting her supervisor Faye J involved, they took my argument up the chain and fought hard to make sure my mom and I were taken care of. I know I got lucky getting the reps I did, but these ladies did an outstanding job! Before their help, I would have hesitated to recommend this company, but now my faith is restored. Now that it is all working, we love the product.

Everything is great, this unit has been is working great.

Mr. Cool was easy to install. Arrived well packaged. Works great – both cooling and heating. Very quiet. Planning to hide the pipes better next week.

The DIY Mr. Cool 18,000 single zone mini split HVAC delivered as advertised. Installation was relatively simple, and so far, the performance has been excellent.

purchased this unit , bad out of box. HVAC Direct told me MR COOL insists on being the tech support . MR COOL does not live up to their "COOL" name. Sppoert call to HVAC direct took 3 days to get a return email submitting my product info troubel code then 5 min sob story about MR Cools lack of support but I have everything so it should be ok. Then 1 week after I get an email asking for the same info. Again 3 days later . 3 weeks no status /resolution, forced to ask my Credit card company to intervene another 2 weeks . I have a renter without heat . Its a circle jerk Your a Fool if you buy from MR COOL!!!

The unit was super easy to install. The price was very reasonable. If I need another mini split HVAC Direct is where I'll go.

Easy to install myself. Ran great for 16 months. Kept an insulated building 12'x34' at the set temperature. Iced up the indoor coils. Refrigerant leaked somewhere. Cheaper to replace than repair. Expected longer life. Tried to contact MrCool but no help within a week.

The unit works great, and was relatively easy to install.

I've tried literally every setting this device has to offer, it never keeps the room at the right temperature. If it's set to "Cool" it cools constantly, no matter what temperature you tell it to stop at, it just keeps making the room colder and colder until you turn it off. Set to "Auto" and it never cools at all, the room can be 80 degrees, Mr. Cool is set at 73, it never cools the room at all. The only way it works is to constantly manually turn it off when the room is cool enough then manually turn it back on when the room gets too warm. Terrible device, should have just bought a floor standing cooling system from Home Depot instead, would have been the same level of useless at 1/3rd the price.
