Customers Say

Across multiple Reznor models from 45,000 to 150,000 BTU, owners report fast heat-up times such as raising a 950 sq ft garage from 35°F to 70°F in 15–20 minutes, heating a 60x40x16 shop from 58°F to 70°F in 35 minutes, and maintaining 60°F in -11°F weather, with one unit reliably operating for three seasons and another previous model lasting nearly 20 years. Installation is frequently described as straightforward, sometimes completed in about four hours or by reusing existing mounts when replacing older units, though isolated issues included an incorrect conversion kit promptly corrected and one poor freight delivery experience.

Customer Questions
If the green light is green flashing, what does that mean?
There are a variety of things that this could indicate. Refer to Table 26 on page 59 of the Reznor UDXC Installation and Maintenance Manual. If you have any further questions, please feel free to give us a call! Thanks.
What type of venting do these unit heaters require? B-vent or PVC?
These units require Category I (B-vent) for vertical venting through the roof, or Category III for venting horizontally through side walls. The exhaust on these units exceeds a temperature that would allow for PVC Venting. If you have any further questions, please feel free to give us a call. Thanks!
Can I use PVC pipe for the combustion air intake?
Reznor does not approve the use of PVC pipe for combustion air intake. Reznor only approves the use of the concentric venting, which is not compatible with PVC. Attempting to vent non-concentric can lead to pressure imbalances which would cause the pressure switch to intermittently turn the unit off. If you have any further questions, please feel free to give us a call. Thanks!
What is the max length for B-vent to exhaust through the roof?
Please refer to pages 34-35 of the installation manual for vertical venting size constraints. This installation manual is linked on the Product Specifications tab for this unit and listed in the Resources section. If you have any further questions, please feel free to give us a call. Thanks!
