70,000 BTU 96% AFUE

This unit delivers 70,000 BTU input per hour. With its 96% efficiency, that means approximately 66,500 BTU is delivered into your home while just 4% is lost out the flue. Please note that all 90% and higher furnaces must be vented using plastic or PVC flue venting, while 80% efficient furnaces must be vented using metal venting.

Single-Stage Heating

With its single-stage design, this furnace operates at full capacity when heat is necessary. This straightforward operation ensures simplicity, reliability, and consistent warmth without complexity.

Fuel Flexibility

Out of the box, this unit runs on natural gas. All Rheem gas furnaces can be converted to propane using the furnace’s corresponding LP conversion kit, an optional accessory available at an additional cost.

Warranty

Rheem supports this furnace with a 10 year parts and lifetime heat exchanger limited warranty with online registration. Please note that in order for the warranty to be upheld, the furnace installation must be done by a licensed HVAC contractor and the install must comply with state and local codes.

Multi-Positional Installation

The multi-positional design of Rheem's R951T furnaces allows them to be installed in upflow, downflow, and horizontal configurations, allowing for ultimate installation flexibility.
