Questions and Answers

Customer Questions
Are these return air boxes made to support the weight of the furnace and evap coils?
Yes, this item is built to support the weight of the furnace and coil.
What gauge is the metal?
This is made of 26 gauge galvanized steel.   If you have any further questions please feel free to give us a call! Thanks
How thick of filter will fit in these boxes?
This filter rack will fit a 1 inch thick filter
Is this the correct size to fit a Goodman 80,000 BTU Upflow furnace?
Great question. That furnace base works with furnaces that are 24.5” wide. Most Goodman 80,000 btu furnaces are 21” wide, but some models are 24.5. Please check the width of the model you are purchasing to determine the width. If it is 21”, then please use Model FB2128. If you have any further questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out to one of our experienced customer service representatives and they would be happy to assist you. Thank you and have a wonderful day..
Can these be cut down to 6" tall in order that they can make up the height of the furnace to fit to existing plenums (as new furnaces are 6" shorter in height)?
We do not recommend cutting the box down to 6" tall. The box is 18" tall with the few upper inches being where the internal filter rack is located. Cutting the box down too short will not leave enough room to connect any return duct to the sides. If you have any further questions, please call us and we will be happy to assist you.
