304 vs. 443 Stainless Steel
Corrosion Resistance: 443 Stainless steel contains more chromium (21% vs 18%) compared to 304 stainless steel giving it a slight edge in corrosion resistance.
Performance: 443 Stainless Steel has better thermal conductivity making it a great option for grill flame tamers and internal grill components.
Outdoor Grills: 304 Stainless Steel offers higher mechanical strength. 443 Stainless Steel is less succeptible to warp or discolor over time when used for grill bodies & hoods.
Summary: 443 Stainless Steel is not a budget downgrade to 304 Stainless but rather a lateral alternative with similar corrosion resistance and performance when used in the construction of BBQ Grills.
