Read our privacy policyKeep your sump or sewage pump running during a power outage with the iON SumPro Model 100, a standby battery backup power supply designed for compatible 120V pumps rated up to 12 amps. Instead of requiring a separate DC backup pump, the SumPro converts stored battery power into 120V AC power, allowing the connected pump to continue operating with its normal AC-rated performance.
The SumPro Model 100 includes a 15-amp inverter, dual battery box, and fuse bar. It uses two 12-volt AGM batteries, sold separately, and automatically switches to battery-generated AC power when utility power is unavailable.
The iON SumPro Model 100 provides emergency power for an existing compatible 120V sump or sewage pump. Instead of adding a separate DC backup pump, the SumPro supplies AC power to the connected pump, helping maintain its normal AC-rated pumping performance during a power outage.
The system is designed for residential sump and sewage applications where continued pumping is important during utility power interruptions. The connected pump is sold separately.
During normal conditions, the connected pump operates from household 120V AC power while the SumPro remains on standby. When utility power is interrupted, the system automatically supplies 120V AC power from the connected battery bank to keep the pump operating.
When household power returns, the system resumes normal utility power operation and maintains the connected batteries for future emergency use.
The SumPro Model 100 is designed for compatible 120V sump or sewage pumps rated up to 12 amps. This allows the backup power supply to be paired with a suitable pump based on the application's required flow rate, head, discharge piping, basin dimensions, and pumping requirements.
Because the SumPro supplies 120V AC power rather than operating a dedicated DC backup pump, it provides a flexible way to add emergency power to an existing compatible AC pumping system.
The SumPro uses two 12-volt AGM batteries to create a 24V DC battery supply. The built-in inverter converts the stored DC energy into 120V AC power for the connected pump during an outage.
The required batteries are sold separately and are not included with the SumPro Model 100. iON Technologies recommends Power+ AGM deep-cycle batteries for SumPro applications.
The SumPro Model 100 can be paired with the iON Genesis controller and alarm, available separately, for additional pump control, level sensing, high-water alarm functions, and system monitoring.
A SumPro stand and battery add-on kit are also available separately for compatible installation configurations.
Proper backup power system selection depends on the connected pump's voltage and amperage, required flow rate, total dynamic head, discharge piping, basin dimensions, battery capacity, and expected backup operating time. The SumPro Model 100 provides 120V AC output at up to 12 amps for compatible sump and sewage pumps.
A minimum recommended basin size of 18 inches in diameter by 24 inches deep applies to suitable sump installations. Always verify the connected pump's electrical requirements, battery specifications, inverter capacity, discharge configuration, basin dimensions, and applicable electrical and plumbing codes before installation.
The iON SumPro Model 100 includes a 3-year warranty. For proper installation and dependable long-term performance, verify the required pump specifications, electrical supply, battery type and capacity, inverter requirements, basin dimensions, control configuration, and applicable local codes before installation. Refer to the manufacturer's operation manual and installation documentation for complete installation, operation, maintenance, and safety requirements.
The iON SumPro Model 100 is a one-power-supply battery backup system designed to provide standby AC power for 120V sump and sewage pumps up to 12 amps. The system uses available household power during normal operation and automatically switches to stored battery power when utility power is unavailable, helping maintain pump operation during power outages.
Featuring a built-in 15-amp inverter, dual battery enclosure, and fuse bar, the SumPro Model 100 converts stored DC battery power into 120V AC power for connected pumps. Two 12V deep-cycle AGM batteries are required and sold separately. The system is designed to work with new or existing 120V pumps without requiring pump modifications or plumbing changes.
