With heat recovery for air filtering, fresh air supply, and stale air extraction, the air-handling units are ventilation systems with all the bells and whistles. The extremely effective plate heat exchanger transfers heat from the extract air to the supply air stream while it is running. Up to 266 CFM of airflow.

A polystyrene heat exchanger with a counter-flow design is included with the VUT VB EC units. The heat from the extract air is trapped throughout the winter months and transferred to the supply air stream, reducing the heat losses caused by ventilation. Condensate may accumulate as a result, which is collected in a unique drain pan and sent into the sewage system.
