The RunTru by Trane A801X120DM5SD is an inexpensive model of furnace to provide reasonable comfort to your home. At a basic efficiency, this furnace will heat your home adequately with the right output, providing comfort to your home even in the coldest parts of the year.

120,000 BTU, 80% AFUE
The RunTru by Trane A801X120DM5SD has an input of 120,000 BTU. With an efficiency of 80%, this means that the furnace has an output of 96,000 BTU. The 80% AFUE also means that for the gas going into the furnace, 80% of it is used to heat your home while the remaining 20% is lost out the flue piping and lost to normal furnace operations. All 80% furnaces require metal flue venting, and if you need it to be plastic/PVC venting a furnace with an efficiency of 90% or above is required. While this unit uses natural gas as fuel out of the box, we also have an LP conversion kit, available at an additional cost.
In California, many counties have a lower NOx emission requirement than the rest of the United States. The A801X120DM5TA Trane gas furnace is California Low NOx compliant. With a built-in low emission filter, this Trane gas furnace produces less nitrogen oxides to be released into the atmosphere, lowering the overall amount of toxic greenhouse gases output of the average California home.
Please note that this furnace cannot be installed in the following counties in California: Fresno, Joaquin, Kern, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Merced, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Stanislaus, and Tulare. In these counties you are required to purchase an Ultra-Low NOx furnace. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Warranty
RunTru by Trane offers 10 year parts and 20 year heat exchanger limited warranties. Please note that in order for the heat exchanger and parts warranties to be upheld, the unit must be registered through the manufacturer within 90 days of installation. The installation must also follow your state and local codes.
