Installation and Maintenance
Installation is very similar to installing any replacement air handler. Your technician will make electrical, refrigerant, thermostat and communication connections, plus, connect to your return and supply ductwork. The ACiQ Central Ducted Air Handler is multi-positional (upflow, downflow or horizontal) and mobile-home approved. Any 24V thermostat with 2 stages of heating can control the system, although the supplied thermostat is recommended. You can add electric strip heat as a backup system for the coldest days of the year. The intelligent control board in the air handler displays fault codes in case part of the system requires maintenance.
Please note - in order to function as a heat pump, this air handler must be installed with a condenser and other installation equipment, available at an additional cost if not already included in this product bundle. To use straight electric heating, an electric heater coil is necessary and is also available at an additional cost.

The Santa Fe Ultra70 was the first compact whole house ventilating dehumidifier built for tight, low-clearance installs. It removes up to 70 pints of moisture per day and covers homes up to 1,800 square feet, which makes it a strong match for smaller houses, condos, and apartments.

Customized Installation and Operation
The Ultra70 gives you three ways to install it. Tie it into your existing HVAC system with a dedicated 8" return and a supply connection with backdraft damper. Run it on its own separate ductwork. Or set it freestanding in a basement or crawl space when ducting isn't practical.
Both the return air inlet and supply air outlet use 8" duct collars. The back panel comes configured for horizontal flow through and rotates for vertical flow through with a T20 torx bit, which is what lets the same unit work in an attic, a closet, or under a floor.
Fresh air ventilation is optional and simple to add. A "T" into the inlet duct brings outdoor air into the system to dilute pollutants and maintain normal oxygen levels indoors, and the volume is adjustable with a range of dampers and controls.

The EAH-15C(UL) is a 15kW heater coil designed for use in ACiQ unitary air handlers, allowing you to add straight electric heating to ACiQ unitary ducted heat pump systems. With a supported output of 16,200 BTU, this heater coil can generally cover a small house in ideal climates.

I have finally finished installing this unit. I’m an experienced installer. Wish the air outlet was in horizontal position instead of vertical when installed horizontally. And the wired controller lacked proper labels and no place for ground screw. This making hooking up impossible. Haven’t used it yet because weather too perfect it will resend after a summer work out.

Excellent equipment, I have an old friend in the HVAC biz. Quoted $8600 for a "Better" Goodman installed. I had installed an Inverter package in my Mom's house a few years ago and was very impressed with Function and efficiency - and wanted the same for my master suite. I went ahead and had the 'professionals' install it for $1050 and still saved MORE than 50%. They were very impressed with the unit and ease of install (2 wire thermostat) - plus my wife thinks the blue tooth phone setting is Cool - and the $4k we saved took us, the kids, and all the grandkids for week long beach Trip! Happy wife - Happy life!!

Massively simple wire hook up 2 wires from the t stat down to the air handler and two out to the condenser. Little braze work I let nitrogen set in the line overnight for one it was late in the evening at that point. Was a late start doing this install. And two I never fully trusted compression fittings. ACiQ did an amazing job with theirs not a single drop in pressure over night! next morning pulled a vacuum down and released the 410 built a new plenum and the customer had cold air blowing by noon. Did a follow up with customer a week later they love their new system, homeowner was concerned with the condenser sitting outside his small Childs bedroom window. of the noise. stated he has to walk outside and almost two feet away to really hear it running. price point and ease of installation I would highly recommend an ACiQ system to everyone

This ACiQ heat pump is quiet and quite efficient when paired with an ACiQ indoor air handler in serial communications with each other. It’s well made but there are design issues. There is really no protection for the heat exchange fins. A stray stone or tree branch can easily damage this unit. The the power and communications compartment is not water proof. This heat pump will need to be protected from hard rains. The high side pipe is 5/8” and the low side is 7/8;” are unusual sizes that were harder to source where I live. And the price is higher than it should be because it’s just a rebranded Midea (Senville comparable) heat pump. It didn’t even come with an ACiQ sticker on it!! Should be around $800 to $900, not $1800.

hello, im interested in this hvac system, my hvac i have now is a downflow system. I see that this a multi position air handler, and I just want to be 100% sure i can use this for down flow aplication.
and also, this is a 410a refrigerant?
Yes, it will work for your downflow application as ACiQ-30-AHB air handler is approved for upflow, downflow, or horizontal applications, so it can be used in a downflow setup as long as it is installed/configured correctly, and this particular model uses R-410A refrigerant.
