The ACiQ-36-AHB air handler features a variable DC blower and communicating technology to maximize comfort and efficiency at the same time. The included smart thermostat communicates with the inverter condenser outside, and the variable air handler inside, allowing the system to self-adjust BTU output to maximize efficiency while providing ideal comfort. The air handler efficiently distributes heated and cooled air throughout your home by attaching to your existing ductwork.

Installation and Maintenance
Installation is very similar to installing any replacement air handler. Your technician will make electrical, refrigerant, thermostat and communication connections, plus, connect to your return and supply ductwork. The ACiQ Central Ducted Air Handler is multi-positional (upflow, downflow or horizontal) and mobile-home approved. Any 24V thermostat with 2 stages of heating can control the system, although the supplied thermostat is recommended. You can add electric strip heat as a backup system for the coldest days of the year. The intelligent control board in the air handler displays fault codes in case part of the system requires maintenance.
Please note - in order to function as a heat pump, this air handler must be installed with a condenser and other installation equipment, available at an additional cost if not already included in this product bundle. To use straight electric heating, an electric heater coil is necessary and is also available at an additional cost.

- Awesome After Two YearsVery good system. Quality appears to be a part of this system. The condenser housing and air box are made of very solid metal. This is an inverter system and its operation is nearly silent except for the fan blowing. A couple years after installation and theres no issues even after many thunderstorms and power outages. The system still works like new and seems quite solid. It was installed with Ditek circuit surge suppressors in the disconnects and those installed are still the originals and showing green. I have no negatives to report. Absolutely amazing cold weather heat pump performance.

- 1 Year Review, Working well!Bought and replaced my 18 year old american standard heat pump with this 3 ton aciq. Installed myself with new line set. Unit is functioning great, so far so good! April of last year, using cooling, went through winter with heat, now back to cooling! I love the inverter air handler in doors, quiet start, moves a lot more air than my old unit. never used electric heat once this past winter and we had a cold winter for VA. Would like to get an acig for my garage in a ductless unit, but dont see option.

- 2 ton split unit to replace trane installed in 2008Excellent equipment, I have an old friend in the HVAC biz. Quoted $8600 for a "Better" Goodman installed. I had installed an Inverter package in my Mom's house a few years ago and was very impressed with Function and efficiency - and wanted the same for my master suite. I went ahead and had the 'professionals' install it for $1050 and still saved MORE than 50%. They were very impressed with the unit and ease of install (2 wire thermostat) - plus my wife thinks the blue tooth phone setting is Cool - and the $4k we saved took us, the kids, and all the grandkids for week long beach Trip! Happy wife - Happy life!!

- All the great thing you hear is trueMassively simple wire hook up 2 wires from the t stat down to the air handler and two out to the condenser. Little braze work I let nitrogen set in the line overnight for one it was late in the evening at that point. Was a late start doing this install. And two I never fully trusted compression fittings. ACiQ did an amazing job with theirs not a single drop in pressure over night! next morning pulled a vacuum down and released the 410 built a new plenum and the customer had cold air blowing by noon. Did a follow up with customer a week later they love their new system, homeowner was concerned with the condenser sitting outside his small Childs bedroom window. of the noise. stated he has to walk outside and almost two feet away to really hear it running. price point and ease of installation I would highly recommend an ACiQ system to everyone

- A Quality Heat PumpThis ACiQ heat pump is quiet and quite efficient when paired with an ACiQ indoor air handler in serial communications with each other. It’s well made but there are design issues. There is really no protection for the heat exchange fins. A stray stone or tree branch can easily damage this unit. The the power and communications compartment is not water proof. This heat pump will need to be protected from hard rains. The high side pipe is 5/8” and the low side is 7/8;” are unusual sizes that were harder to source where I live. And the price is higher than it should be because it’s just a rebranded Midea (Senville comparable) heat pump. It didn’t even come with an ACiQ sticker on it!! Should be around $800 to $900, not $1800.
