OVERVIEW
The Stealth Designer Series Single Zone SC-48Z-UM heat pump condenser has a Gen 3 variable inverter compressor, for even, predictable cooling and heating without temperature swings or noisy on/off cycling. The condenser ships with a pre-charge of eco-friendly R410a refrigerant.

The Stealth Emerald Series features a 14 warranty with online registration. The standard warranty on the SC-48Z-UM is a 5-year parts and 7-year limited compressor warranty. With online registration and an installation following state and local installation codes, the compressor warranty increases to 14 years.

Installation and Maintenance
Every Stealth Designer Series condenser includes a pre-charge of eco-friendly R410a refrigerant, enough for 25’ of line set per air handler. The line set fittings are compression-type and will require evacuation prior to refrigerant release. Line set kits- including both refrigerant lines, control wire and drain hose extensions, are available under Accessories on this page. Stealth Designer Series features self-diagnosing electronics. Should the system detect a fault, error codes will display on the front of the unit.

This system includes only the outdoor condenser, indoor air handler and wall mounted, or remote thermostat (depending on model) as depicted in the photo above. Additional Accessories are required to complete the installation. Each air handler requires a separate refrigerant line set, control wire and condensation control. The condenser requires connection to household power, wired through a disconnect switch and flexible, weatherproof conduit (whip). Additional optional accessories are also available. The Stealth Designer decorative grille is required for operation of a Stealth Designer U-Match 36,000 BTU ceiling cassette. The grille features directional louvers for a 4-way supply of conditioned air while the center of protects the return.
