Hvac Direct purchase was smooth and items arrived in perfect condition.
I tried to hire HVAC contractors but it ended up being way cheaper, easier, and better to do it myself. Absolutely loving MrCool.
I also purchased Nylog for the no-vac lines. I also added a Surge protector (ICM493-60A). Oh and I also purchased a torque wrench for the no-vac lines.
MrCool manual was very easy to follow. I had no issues with the install. I did have to use a $15 Pulley Hoist from Harbor Freight to lift the blower unit into the attic. It wasn't that hard but was a 2 man job and took a little time to make sure it went smoothly.
I don't know what the warranty is like but 10 years on parts and labor is awesome coverage.
Honestly, I can't say enough good about this system. Absolutely love it!!! So happy we found this option and that MrCool makes a self-install option.Posted on
