Austin Air HealthMate Jr. Machine - Midnight Blue

The Austin Air HealthMate Jr. in Midnight Blue is the small-room version of Austin Air's original HealthMate, built with the same four-stage filter in a compact steel cabinet. It handles rooms up to 700 sq. ft. at two air changes per hour, or about 300 sq. ft. at four changes per hour, which covers most bedrooms, nurseries, offices, and apartments.

Air is drawn in through 360-degree grilles on all four sides, then filtered in four stages. A large particle pre-filter takes dust, hair, and pet dander first. A medium particle pre-filter follows for pollen, mold, and spores. Over 6.5 lbs. of granular activated carbon and zeolite adsorbs odors, gases, and chemical vapors. The final stage is 30 sq. ft. of true medical grade HEPA for sub-micron particles.

The manual 3-speed dial moves 50, 100, or 200 CFM. At about 18 lbs. the unit is easy to relocate, and the filter pack is built to last up to five years in normal residential use. Assembled in Buffalo, New York.
