Today's Hours 10am - 6pm estThe Austin Air Bedroom Machine in Black is the top of the Austin Air lineup, built for people whose sleep is affected by allergies, asthma, or sensitivity to chemicals and odors. On low it measures 39.8 dB, quiet enough to run all night on a nightstand. One unit covers up to 1,500 sq. ft. at two air changes per hour, or roughly 700 sq. ft. at four changes per hour.
Five filtration stages sit behind a 360-degree intake that draws air through all four sides of the cabinet. A large particle pre-filter takes dust, hair, and pet dander. A medium particle pre-filter follows for pollen, mold, and spores. Air then passes through 15 lbs. of activated carbon and zeolite, 60 sq. ft. of true medical grade HEPA, and a HEGA carbon cloth. The HEGA cloth is a woven carbon material developed for the British military, and it catches gases, chemical vapors, and odors that make it past the granular carbon.
Austin Air developed the Bedroom Machine with the National Sleep Foundation, and it was selected for a Johns Hopkins School of Public Health study on bedroom air quality and asthma. Operation is a manual 3-speed dial at 75, 200, or 400 CFM. Casters come standard, the bottom plate lifts off for filter access, and the pack is rated for up to five years of normal residential use. Assembled in Buffalo, New York.
The Austin Air Bedroom Machine includes a 5-year manufacturer warranty covering the motor, fan, and working parts, along with a 5-year prorated filter warranty under normal residential use. Refer to the manufacturer documentation for complete terms.
