Warranty Information
The Broan® Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) is backed by Broan-NuTone’s Limited Warranty, ensuring reliable performance and lasting quality. The ERV Core and all Parts are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for five (5) years from the date of original purchase. During this warranty period, Broan-NuTone will, at its option, repair or replace the product or any defective component without charge, excluding the cost of removal, reinstallation, and transportation. This warranty applies only to the original consumer purchaser and the original installation location.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, routine maintenance items, cosmetic damage, filters, fuses, or accessories sold separately. It also does not extend to damage caused by improper installation, misuse, abuse, accidents, lack of maintenance, or acts of nature. Products with altered, defaced, or missing serial numbers are excluded. This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary by state or province.

- Good unit for DIY, manual needs workThe cardboard diagram that helps you mount the unit has the screw holes in the wrong location. The manual is also quite sparse on operating information beyond initial setup. Which is annoying as a DIYer.
Else, the unit is quiet, no vibration, and is definitely effective at energy recovery. I live in Vermont and the unit handles auto-defrosts on its own. I'm curious to see how it holds up when it gets down to -10F, but it handles 25-30F just fine with sporadic defrosts. I do wish the optional allergen filter could be pre-core air so as to keep the intake side of the core from getting caked in pollen. But supposedly the whole core pops out and can get a bath. Guess I'll see how that goes in a couple yearsPosted on
