The Buck Stove Model 21 is an efficient zone heating stove/insert that also has the capacity to heat smaller homes. It can be installed into an existing fireplace using a faceplate kit or used as a freestanding stove with one of the available leg kits. This unit delivers 41,200 BTUs and can effectively heat spaces ranging from 800 to 1,800 square feet. The Model 21 meets the standards approved by both Washington and Oregon states.

- Really great little stove!We purchased the model 21 to insert into a standard size fireplace that had gas logs in it. The gas logs did not give off enough heat, so the wife wanted a woodstove insert. Found the model 21 and she liked the price so we ordered it and the standard trim kit. Stove was delivered and we had it installed and realized that it’s a little bit undersized for our fireplace, but it works great! It will raise the temperature in here, 5° in no time flat. The blower kicks on automatically when a certain temperature is met and blows warm air into our room. The only issue we found was installing the face plate or trim kit. The trim kit fit perfectly into the opening around the stove, but the stove did not come with pre-drilled holes for the securing screws. They provided self tapping screws that could not possibly drill through that solid steel case on the stove. We broke several drill bits trying to drill holes in the sides and finally gave up. We were able to drill two holes in the top so we can secure the top of the face plate and just leaned the rest of it against the opening and use the top face plate to hold it all together. Seems to be working great. But if engineering or production could pre-drill those holes, that would be great. There’s just no way to adequately drill a hole through that thick steel at least not for me or the professional installer that we hired.

- We love itThank you for the great woodstove. We love it. The efficiency increase over just burning in our fireplace is literally 3 to 1. The only complaint we have is packaging fire the metal covers that go on the fireplace around the stove. They are just in a flimsy cardboard box and doesn't have anything to prevent them from getting bent. As a result, we had to reject the first shipment and the second was also bent but not as bad.
