Explosion-Proof Standard Wall Exhaust Fan for Hazardous Locations
The Canarm SD-XPF Series Explosion-Proof Standard Wall Exhaust Fan is designed for use in hazardous locations specified by the manufacturer's ratings. It combines a rugged steel housing with an explosion-proof motor for dependable exhaust ventilation in appropriate industrial applications.
Available in multiple sizes and configurations, the SD-XPF Series features a totally enclosed, ball-bearing motor with thermal overload protection, balanced heavy-gauge aluminum fan blades, and a welded steel housing with a durable powder-coated finish. Aluminum louver shutters with long-life nylon bushings and heavy-wire, chrome-plated OSHA guards on the intake side provide additional functional and protective features. Fans are shipped fully assembled.

Explosion Proof Motor Compliance
- Class I, Group C – Suitable for atmospheres with ethyl ether, ethylene, or vapors of similar hazard levels.
- Class I, Group D – Approved for environments with acetone, ammonia, benzene, butane, ethanol, gasoline, methane, propane, natural gas, and other equivalent vapors.
- Class II, Group F – Designed for carbonaceous dusts including coal, coke, charcoal, or carbon black with more than 8% volatiles, or dusts sensitized by other materials.
- Class II, Group G – Safe for combustible dusts such as flour, grain, wood, plastic, and various chemicals not classified under Groups E or F.

Each Canarm SD-XPF Series explosion-proof wall exhaust fan is shipped fully assembled and tested for proper operation before shipping. The complete fan assembly includes the explosion-proof motor, aluminum fan blades, louver shutters, and protective intake-side guard.

Warranty Information
CANARM Ltd. provides a 1-year standard warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. During the warranty period, CANARM Ltd. may, at its option, repair or replace defective products or parts, subject to the applicable warranty terms and conditions.
The warranty does not cover labor costs associated with repairs, removal, or reinstallation. Coverage may be void in cases of misuse, negligence, unauthorized repairs or alterations, or operation outside the manufacturer's recommended conditions. Repaired or replaced parts are covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period.

- 42” exhaust fan works greatI bought the 42” Canarm exhaust fan for my 50 x 60 x 16’ shop. This ventilates the shop perfectly. The fan removes fumes, cools it down and provides a good breeze. You can hold a normal conversation while it’s on. It’s a little more noticeable than a 50” barrel fan but moves 4 times more air. I usually open one 14’ garage door on the opposite end of the shop 18” to 24” and there’s a breeze 12 to 15 mph coming in, enough to blow dust across the floor. For winter when it’s rarely used, I made a housing on the interior of the shop with an insulated insert to keep the cold air out. Wind blown rain will slightly get through the louvers of the fan if it is off so I drilled a couple of holes in the lowest spots for it to drain. Overall it’s a great fan and I would buy another.
