The integrated gas heating system provides low, medium, and high gas heating input option of 350,000 Btuh, respectively. Two-stage heating operation helps match heating output to changing building demand. The system incorporates solid-state electronic direct-spark ignition, flame roll-out safety protection, and exclusive IGC anti-cycle protection to support dependable and safe gas-heating operation.
The electric cooling system provides 15-ton nominal cooling capacity with a 14.5 IEER rating. Two-stage cooling operation allows the system to adjust cooling output to changing commercial loads, helping support efficient operation and consistent indoor comfort.
With a 14.5 IEER rating and direct-drive EcoBlue™ Technology, this system is designed to provide efficient commercial cooling with reduced mechanical complexity. The Vane Axial indoor fan uses an electronically commutated motor in a beltless direct-drive configuration, eliminating belts, blower bearings, and shafts associated with conventional belt-drive systems. The unit uses Puron Advance™ R-454B refrigerant, which has a global warming potential of 466 and is designed to meet EPA low-GWP requirements. Two-stage heating and cooling operation provides additional flexibility for matching equipment output to changing building demand. Optional SystemVu™ integrated communicating controls and RTU-Open communicating controls are available for compatible commercial applications.

The Carrier WeatherMaker 48FE Series includes a standard limited warranty consisting of 10 years parts-only coverage for an aluminized heat exchanger, 15 years parts-only coverage for a stainless-steel heat exchanger, 5 years parts-only coverage for the compressor, 3 years parts-only coverage for the SystemVu™ controller, and 1 year parts-only coverage on all other parts.
