The Goodman GSX140481 Air Conditioner Condenser uses the chlorine-free refrigerant R-410A to help prevent damage to the Ozone Layer. This unit is equipped with sound-dampening features to provide operating sound levels are among the lowest in the heating and cooling industry. Using high-quality components,the Goodman GSX140481 air conditioner condenser is rated at 14 SEER and will help reduce energy consumption throughout the life of the system.Â

- Goodman Poor Reliability and PerformanceA Goodman "4-ton" 14 SEER was installed in our new house. It cannot keep up with Phoenix summer heat. Specs show it only puts out 3.5 tons. Our experience is that it can only maintain 82° up to 116° ambient. The capacitor has gone out twice in four years. Our previous house has a Trane that was still going after 25 years with no trouble.

- Good UnitsAC Installers hate Goodman because of the low price. I self installed a Goodman 2 years ago and it is still blowing 47 degree air at the registers.
