Zone panels act as the control panel for the dampers which are installed in the ductwork to regulate air flow. The zone panel is connected to the thermostat in each zone and to the dampers. It receives information from a thermostat about the zone’s desired temperature. It then communicates to the damper whether air flow to that zone should be blocked or permitted. Zone panels can be selected based on the number of desired zones. Individual zone panels are available for 2-zone, 3-zone, and 6-zone systems.
