FAQ's

Customer Questions

Are the AVDX fans rated for both indoor and outdoor use?

Yes! The fan is rated indoor/outdoor. However, the digital controls are indoor only.

My shop's ceiling is only 15 feet high. Can I still install an AVDX fan safely and get good results?

Yes, you can still install it, but keep in mind that performance may not be as optimal as it would be in a taller space. The AVDX is recommended for ceilings over 20 feet for the best airflow and coverage. At 15 feet, airflow may be limited or hit obstacles, reducing its cooling effect. You might want to consider a smaller diameter model or double-check clearance to ensure safe and effective installation.

If I run the fan at high speed for long periods, will it put extra stress on the components?

Not at all! The fan is built for continuous, heavy use and runs reliably even at high speeds. For the longest lifespan, we suggest periodic inspections and using lower speeds when full power isn’t needed.

What if I modify or powder-coat the fan or blades? Will it affect the warranty?

MacroAir does offer custom finishes, but any modifications or powder coating done outside of factory-approved options could affect your warranty coverage. To avoid voiding the warranty, we recommend confirming with us before making any changes or using non-approved parts.

How loud are the fans at maximum speed?

The noise level will depend on the fan size, smaller fans can sound a bit louder, while larger ones are generally quieter. Many models run around the low-50s dBA at full speed, and how loud it feels can also depend on your room’s acoustics and how far you are from the fan.
