Warranty Information
Motor WarrantyAll motors are covered by a one-year warranty from the date of shipment, provided by the motor manufacturer. If service is required during the warranty period, the motor must be taken to the nearest authorized motor service station. Failure to use an authorized service station may void the motor warranty. If you are unsure of an authorized service location, contact the factory for assistance. Installation, removal, re-installation costs, and any consequential damages are not covered.
Blower Housing Assembly WarrantyThe blower housing assembly is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years from the date of original shipment. Defective units or parts reported within this period may be replaced at the manufacturer’s option when returned to the factory with transportation prepaid by the sender.
ExclusionsThe following items are not covered by this warranty:
- Normal wear from heat, abrasion, or chemical exposure
- Damage from improper installation, incorrect electrical connections, or unauthorized alterations
- Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or abnormal operating conditions
- Lack of proper maintenance
- Transportation costs to and from the factory for warranty repairs
This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective parts as described above. The manufacturer is not responsible for installation, removal, or re-installation costs, nor for any consequential damages resulting from product failure or improper operation.

The Plastec R-20 blower is engineered to perform reliably in harsh outdoor and corrosive environments. Its entire airflow path, including the housing, impeller, and exposed internals, is made of thick-wall polypropylene that provides strong resistance to acids, salts, solvents, moisture, and harsh chemicals. To guard against long-term degradation from UV exposure, the polypropylene is compounded with HALS (Hindered-Amine Light Stabilizers), helping preserve material strength and color over time. As a direct-drive, forward curve blower, the R-20 eliminates belts, pulleys, and exposed mechanical linkages, reducing the number of moving parts that can wear out or become misaligned. Thanks to its all-polypropylene construction, the R-20 is significantly lighter than comparable metal fans, simplifying rooftop installation while maintaining excellent structural integrity.
