The LPM-34 liquid propane (LP) conversion kit is used to convert the fuel type used by Goodman's GR9T96 and GD9T96 furnaces, GPGM5 gas packaged units, and two-stage GPGM3 gas packaged units from natural gas to propane. Goodman furnaces and gas packaged units are made to operate on natural gas by default. A propane conversion kit is required for any Goodman furnace or gas packaged unit installation where it needs to run on propane instead.

This conversion kit is made to work with Goodman's regular and low NOx GR9T96 and GD9T96 furnaces, GPGM5 gas packaged units, and two-stage GPGM3 gas packaged units. Please note that it cannot be used with the following:

  • Ultra-low NOx variations of GR9T96 and GD9T96 furnaces
  • Ultra low-NOx GPUM3 gas packaged units
  • Furnace model GR9T960303AN
  • Single-stage GPGM3 gas packaged units

Single-stage GPGM3 packaged units and GR9T960303AN both use different models of propane conversion kit. Conversions kits are not available for the ultra-low NOx packaged units and furnaces. For single-stage GPGM3 packaged units, please see model LPM-33. For the GR9T960303AN furnace, please see model LPM-30.
